Scientific Name: Androctonus bicolor

Range: Africa

Type: Opportunistic Burrower

Communal: No

Adult Size: 4 inches

Temperature: 85-90 degrees

Humidity: 50%

Temperament: Aggressive

Speed: Very Fast

Venom: [4]

Diet: Young can eat pinhead crickets, small roaches, or mealorms. Adults can eat large crickets, roaches, or superworms.



Housing: Adults can be kept in a medium critter keepers, 2 gallon tank ,or rubbermaid type container. Babies can be kept in small critter keepers or large deli cups.

Substrate: Sand with rocks and hides.

Additional info: This species is in the Androctonus family which also includes A. australis, which is a very dangerous scorpion that kills more people then any other species of scorpion. A. bicolor is not as deadly but still a very fast and dangerous species that should only be kept be experienced keepers. They can't climb glass so there easy to manage but extreme caution should be taken when keeping this species.
